A group of members shared Sunday Lunch on a Safari Lunch basis. A pleasant opportunity to share several courses with different groups of members. We all met up for coffee/tea at the end, in the garden of one of our members
Our annual August Bank Holiday stall at Stony Stratford Town Fayre successfully recycled a large stock of nearly new clothes from members wardrobes.A substantial sum was raised
We were entertained by Victoria Molnar at our August meeting. She talked aout her accordian and the history of the instrument and then played a number of pieces for us
Another good fund raiser in October. This time for our International Charity, Schools for Children in Cambodia.Members brought along a wide range of desserts which were enjoyed by all.
A good fundraiser at a local village hall with a band in November, raised funds for Autism - in support of the President’s charity this year
For many years now the Club have raised funds with home produce at a stall in Stony Stratford each November when the High Street is closed for a winter fayre to celebrate the switch on of the Christmas Lights. This year was no different and many of the members took turns on a cold morning and afternoon to sell produce.
DUE TO THE CURRENT VIRUS EMERGENCY, THE CLUB IS NOT MEETINGIN THE USUAL WAY. Members are still kept in contact through our regular monthly newsletter ‘ChatIn’, through an on-line social group and with phone calls.Hopefully we will be able to get back to normal for 2021 !
