JUNE 2016
At this years AGM we were entertained by two visitors from the Cowper & Newton Museum at Olney with tales of the two famous residents of the past
Also  this month our International Group ran a fund raising Barbecue
JULY 2016
A group of Inner Wheel members support a local community choir in Conniburrow, Milton Keynes. and sang at a summer concert with Folk singer Isla St Clair
August was a fairly quiet month but members did a pre-meeting walk around Bancroft Park to visit MK’s Concrete Cows
For Inner Wheel Peace Day  ( September 21st ) Inner Wheel members and partners visited the Milton Keynes Peace Pavilion and Temple
This month we had a speaker from a locally based charity that arranges and delivers decorated trainers to children with terminal illness.  Supershoes
A group of our members did a historical walk through Newport Pagnell and visited the N.P History Society museum
And our International group raised funds with an excellent meal event at the Calcutta Brasserie in Stony Stratford
This month our speaker at the monthly meeting was an expert on the design and embroidering of Church Vestments
And a coach trip was organised to Hatfield House for their excellent annual Frost Fair with a shopping opportunity among the many craft stalls This gave us the chance to support a group of our members who performed at the Fair as part of a local Rock choir
Members collected gifts for residents at Milton Keynes Women’s Refuge and the parcels were delivered for distribution there
At this busy time of the year we also run a stall at the Christmas Lights switch-on event at Stony Stratford where we sell home made produce and gifts.  A regular event that raises funds for local charities
The annual Club Christmas Party was held at the Barley Mow at Cosgrove with an excellent meal and traditional Christmas celebrations This month members also supported the Wolverton & Stony Stratford Rotary Club at a candle lit carol service

January is usually a quiet month after Christmas with not many excuses  for taking photos. The President held an Afternoon tea party to liven the month. The photo does not give a good impression of the actual number attending !
Firstly, we welcomed our Inner Wheel District Chairman at our March meeting
Also this month Inner Wheel members joined with Rotary to have a weekend away at Ironbridge in Staffordshire. A very sociable break away
For our April meeting we had a CPR demonstration with some very useful advice for  medical emergencies
Also a group of 12 members attended the Inner Wheel National conference in Nottingham, travelling by mini coach and enjoying some excellent speakers …. as well as some good food and good company
In May the President’s Afternoon out was a tea party and garden visit to Stevington Manor near Bedford. lovely spring flowers and a superb tea.
At our May meeting we also enjoyed a visit and talk from the Medical Detection Dogs Charity based close to Milton Keynes, and learned about the amazing work dogs are trained to undertake, supporting those with illness, and the current research work detecting illness
Coming up to the end of our Inner Wheel Year, our International Group organised a fund raising musical evening at the Milton Keynes Holiday Inn to raise funds for Acid survivors Trust International ( ASTI )
